I'm a graphic designer at Optec Displays. I have passion in my work and I love to do anything relating to art. Coincidentally, my name is Art. I'ts funny how that worked out. I make it a point to do something related to my artwork every day. I don't however make it a point to sleep every day. Sleeping is a great pleasure. My current set of graphic explorations consist of re-learning after effects, graphite, spray paint, quick sketches with acrylic washes, dying and aging paper, constructing mini sketchbooks using saddle stitch or Japanese stab binding and good old Illustrator and Photoshop stuff.

I am currently looking to collect life philosophies and begin to apply and test them in my life. Maybe you can share your life philosophy with me.

RANT: this rant is just a generic one. why does it seem like when you are trying to get from A to B that the whole world seeks to slow you down. everyone seems to drive the speed limit and they don't drive through yellow lights. this is a terrible thing for me because frustration ensues and then carelessness. there is nothing worse than a careless and frustrated driver. at this point i slow myself down and to spite the people that are going 15mph i go 10mph and make it seem like they are speeding off. its a trick of the mind. i see them pulling away and then i get to drive my normal rate to catch up to them. ohh what joy. end RANT

Although I am very "Americanize", I still try to maintain my Asian culture and background. In fact, I am able to converse in 3 different dialects of Chinese: Cantonese, Mandarin, and Fujian.

I was born in Houston, Texas but I lived in Los Angeles for most of my life. So things I enjoy doing include:
- Biking at the beach
- Hanging out with friends
- Hitting up a club or lounge in Hollywood
- Typical Stuff: hiking, karoaking, bowling, playing billiards/pool and
basketball.

First and foremost, family is extremely important to me. I love what I do. I have my own set of flaws but always make an attempt to fix it. I am loyal and respectful. I like to travel and have fun but I am not into the club scene. I like to have fun by going camping, going to the beach, exploring new places, and just taking a drive out to anywhere the wind may want to take me. I am a realistic thinker who is constantly striving to better myself.

I like to joke around quite a bit but I do know when to be serious. I like to be sarcastic, not in a mean way, just to lighten things up a bit from time to time. haha.

I like active activities from time to time. Any type of sport I can play but not very well. Just enough to get by. haha. It's always fun though. Staying in is also fun, just catching up on movies and stuff.

I kind of thought about this for a good 10 minutes, and thought "writing about myself" is not really synonymous with "how much do I really know about myself" You can analyze this in whichever way you desire. =)

I've worked hard my entire life, I've gotten my priorities straight, I know what must be done, with that said, I'm a goal and family oriented type of guy... Since I've worked hard, I also like to enjoy my days off, but what is fun for me, might not be fun for others. I'm outgoing, into outdoor activities, such as hiking and snowboarding. I would like to try skydiving, bunjee jumping, cliff diving, white water rafting, or anything that can give me that adrenaline rush... Time to say something funny and interesting, hmm... I know, I can't sing for nothing, I'm absolutely terrible at it, if I was force to, I'm going bust out with She Bangs like William Hung... hahaha... That's the thing, I like to try things out, especially if I can find someone to experience new things with will be a major plus... I like to laugh and I enjoy making my friends around me laugh out loud and have fun... To start things out i am a college student. I take part in many sports and activities around school. I am a pretty laid back guy who just loves to enjoy life. I run track and field/cross country for my school. I also enjoy reading; reading opens up a gateway to many possibilities. I spend most of my days hanging out with my friends simply just kicking back, and playing basketball a lot. Although its corny, i love going on picnic dates at the park and enjoy the fresh air watching happy faces pass by. I am funny, energetic, and good looking, but you can be the judge of that. A lot of people say I have a big smile...but that's just because there's a lot to be happy about. =D I'm a creative, fun and adventurous girl - from my handmade Halloween costumes (latest include a sushi hand roll, a lemon drop martini and a Chinese take-out box) to skydiving and trying out the latest Burmese restaurant, I always find a way to entertain myself. Next on my list are white water rafting (though I should probably learn how to swim first) and hot air ballooning and would love to find someone to join in on my life adventures. I have an itch for traveling - Burma, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic are my latest favorites and can't wait to plan my next trip. My homey side also loves watching tv or a movie at home or playing board games =). I'm an Angels fan and despise the Yankees! I also don't mind going to a hockey (Ducks please), basketball or football game every now and then! =)
